Soncin’s commitment to safety is second to none.  Soncin employs a full time in house safety co-ordinator.  Soncin is a member of the Civil Construction Safety Workgroup.  A W.S.I.B. and Industry partnered initiative program with the goal of reducing injuries at the workplace and reducing the costs of claims.

 

The safety program is the heart of our accident prevention and rehabilitation efforts.  Our program is continually scrutinized and updated to address the changing work environment.

Presidents Message

It is the Policy of the management of Soncin Construction Corporation to perform  all work under our control in a safe and responsible manner. Management is vitally interested in the health and safety of our employees. Protection of employees from injury or occupational disease is a major continuing objective.

We will make every effort to provide a safe, healthy work environment. All supervisors and workers must be dedicated to the continuing objective of reducing risk of injury. 

This policy will apply to all direct employees, hired contractors or subcontractors including their hired subcontractors, equipment and material suppliers, delivery companies or agencies, consulting architects and engineers, owners representatives, inspection companies or members of their public who come within the boundaries or area of influence of our projects.

Every worker must protect his or her own health and safety by working in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations and with safe working practices and procedures established by this company and its clients.

As employers, we are ultimately responsible for worker health and safety.  As president, I give my personal promise that every reasonable precaution will be taken for the protection of workers.
